June has flown by at the Elaine Clark Center — and it has been filled with helping hands.
This month, we’ve had four major volunteer projects happening across campus, each one bringing energy, generosity, and meaningful support to our students and staff.
Crushers Adaptive Sports
joined us every Wednesday in June to teach our students baseball. Today was their last day, so naturally we celebrated with water play, popsicles, and a lot of smiles.
The Camp at Wieuca Baptist Church, a longtime ECC partner, brought groups of 12- and 13-year-olds to spend time with our students, help out, and be part of our community.
Thrive in Action
sent two groups of teens from St. Pius X. Each group completed more than six hours of service a day — playing with students, clearing the hill, painting conference rooms, and jumping in wherever they were needed.
Atlanta Gas Light
took on major landscaping work and will be back soon to help move the mulch pile from the parking lot to the playground. A huge thank you also goes to Ruppert Landscape
for donating the mulch.
And we're not done yet. Several Eagle Scout projects and a Silver Award project are also in the works, and we will share more as they are completed.
At ECC, volunteers do more than complete projects. They help make our mission sustainable. They bring energy, care, time, and muscle to a place that depends on community showing up.
To every volunteer who has spent time with us this month: thank you. You are part of what makes ECC work.
