Why Scholarships Matter at the Elaine Clark Center
Kelly Carter

Over the past few weeks, I’ve shared the Elaine Clark Center from the perspective of someone who gets to see it from the inside.

Not from a brochure.

Not from a fundraising packet.

But from the hallways, classrooms, and conversations that most people never see.

I’ve watched exhausted families finally exhale after finding support they didn’t know existed.

One family came to ECC after navigating their child’s traumatic brain injury. Every night was school pickups, therapy appointments, dinner in the car, exhausted kids, and starting over again the next morning.

The Frank Clark Memorial Scholarship Fund didn’t just help provide care for their child.

It gave the family room to breathe again.

That’s what scholarships do at the Elaine Clark Center.

They don’t just support services.
Sometimes, they help unlock families.

Beginning June 15, we’ll launch Scholarship Week to help more families access the care, education, and support they need.

And over the next few weeks, I’ll keep showing you why this place matters.
