The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for all children from birth through age 8. Families of Children Under Stress (FOCUS)
FOCUS provides emotional, informational, and physical support to parents of children with disabilities or with ongoing medical needs. FOCUS families deal with a variety of developmental delays, including rare syndromes, cerebral palsy, heart problems, immune deficiencies, and neurological involvement. http://focus-ga.org/

Atlanta Alliance on Developmental Disabilities
The Atlanta Alliance on Developmental Disabilities (AADD) has a 50-year history as Atlanta's premiere nonprofit organization in service and advocacy to people with mental retardation and other developmental disabilities. http://aadd.org/

Parent Volunteer Opportunities
Want to make a difference at your child's school?

There are many opportunities to volunteer your time and talents at The Elaine Clark Center. Parent volunteers are always welcome!

There are many ways you can help the very special children of the center. You can help out by assisting with activities such as:

  • Working with children in classrooms
  • Rocking infants
  • Sharing your culture
  • A group activity (i.e. music, storytime, etc.)
  • Organizational skills
  • Administrative assistance
  • General Maintenance
