Since 1969, The Elaine Clark Center has
worked with children who have traditionally
been under-served in Metro Atlanta.

Through early intervention, assistive technology and innovative therapy techniques, the Elaine Clark Center has helped thousands of Special Needs children whose conditions – such as Spina Bifida, Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy, among others – make traditional school settings impractical.

We have included typical children since 1994, who not only act as role models for the special needs children, but also learn valuable lessons themselves, about acceptance and sensitivity.

In the past, The Elaine Clark Center received up to 75% of its funding through a State grant, using part of the pass-through money from the Federal Government. However, with cuts in government support to individuals with disabilities, as well as the economic downturn, we have been forced to search for new revenue streams and to redouble our fundraising efforts.
